The new season of Dexter premiered last Sunday and it had a hard time holding my attention. I was completely disappointed and hoped for better this week. I’m still unhappy with the new season but it was a bit better. I love Debra and Dante but I dislike the coupling of Batista and Laguerta. And Rita, RITA, that character is driving me insane! Last week when she actually called Dexter at work to have him sing the baby to sleep and then this week when she blamed work for making Dexter so tired- ugh, seriously, she has raised two children on her own and I’m pretty sure she doesn’t have a job why is she so useless?

As a mom I totally understand that Dad needs to help out but they are writing her to where it looks like she is pushing all of the parenting on to him. Why? I don’t get it? I hope the story line is going somewhere and fast because I’ve already grown impatient with it.

I also want some kind of look into the back story of Batista and Laguerta. Did I miss something last season? I don’t remember them making eyes at each other or even flirting.  I was so excited when Masuka said that they needed to take a break and then so sad two seconds later when I realized it was going to be a very short one.

I still love Dexter, as in the character not the show, and I hope the show can get its act together.

I’m so excited!!!!!!! Grey’s starts back tonight. I’ve got dinner in the oven and I’m ready to sit down and focus on the TV, with hopefully minimal interruptions from the kidlets. I can’t wait to see the answers to all the stuff that they teased in the spoilers.

and in just a few short minutes Ugly Betty comes back on. I’m not as excited about Ugly Betty but I can’t wait to see who she chooses. PLEASE don’t let it be Henry.

He is getting excited and so am I. He really gets it this year and has been asking since March when it is his birthday and birthday party.

Tomorrow he is going to be on Good Day (channel 4) on their birthdays. I might just record it tomorrow and wait until Friday, his actual birthday to show it to him, I don’t think I want to spend all Thursday telling him his birthday is tomorrow and his party is Saturday.

He wants a Cars cake. I hope I can deliver, but I’m kind of getting nervous about it. I bought some little Cars cars to put on it and I’m going to try to make a mini Radiator Springs. Well I’m not going to make everything but I was thinking like the Crazy Cone, the gas station, and the tire shop. Please don’t let this be a disaster.
